About this piece:
Steel celts pass thru the Polychrome Cedar creating a skeletal fish form. The original idea was derived from Megalithic monuments and the childhood thought of “Digging a hole to China”. What if Stonhenge or other megaliths passed thru the earth and stuck out the other side? The rib like structures and bright color (a departure from my earthy palette norm) won the day for the title .This piece was juried into the MMA regional.
